You said that you were unemployed since Jan 2009...was wondering how you supplemented your income since obviously, your UI has run out...I know, cuz' I was laid off in Mar 2009, and MINE just ran out...

At least I now know how you're supplementing your income...you found a job by peddling a kit to help you find a job.

Sorry, but it reminds me so much of the spyware removal tools malware that tells you to buy this software to remove the malware, which is in itself, the malware....

Huh...well, you DID fnd work...can't fault you for that...

Hi Deb!

Thank you for your comment! Our situation is a huge learning process, and yes it is gradual. The reaction part of becoming unemployed will, indeed, make or break you. Be bitter and get angry--grieve! But then, like all things in life, when one chapter ends, we must learn to move on as positively as possible. Be thankful for who you are and what you have--count your blessings and be thankful. It can cheer you up and, in time, you can return the favor when others are down on their luck. You've learned plenty in nine months--congrats!

Warmest Wishes!

Learning to be thankful has been the single most surprising result of being unemployed for the past 9 months. I am serious when I say "learning" to be thankful;as it was not an automatic reaction to being laid off - for me it was more like a gradual process. Also, something I've often heard , but can now embrace as true - "it's not important what happens to you, rather how you react to what happens to you."

Thanks for sharing your experiences Natalia!

It's even exasperating! When we finally land somewhere, we will hopefully be able to look back on this and realize why so many things fell out when we thought we were 'in'. They say things happen for a reason...I, too, am waiting. All I get now are excuses, and I hate it! Just keep plugging away...

Keep me posted - Best of Luck!
Warmest Wishes-

Wow. I feel like you just listed the past 10 months for me. Every time I thought I was "in" something happened, something fell through....so frustrating.
