Well, hello there and thanks for surfing my wave!
So I was at lunch again yesterday – Chinese. (Unemployed folks do need to eat, just make sure someone else pays unless it’s a job lead…pick that tab up) We get those ubiquitous “fortune” cookies and mine reads, “Soon you will get the recognition you deserve” followed by what I imagine are supposed to be those “lucky” lotto numbers that I stopped playing 20 years ago. I still haven’t won, so who knows…
Okay, so what’s a person to think? The recognition the fortune manufacturer thinks I deserve? Do they know what I’ve been put through lately? Are they talking in terms of monetary recognition? Hey, I find coins in the street and I do a dance! Think it’s time to see if that 20’s been claimed? Maybe that’s what the fortune is pointing to! I already did receive a very honorable award from my place of worship a few weeks ago. Was that it? Is there more? Was it simply my son wanting to take a walk with me and the dog?
Am I reading too much into this here?
Seriously though: have ANY of these things come true for you? I’ve been to all sorts of clairvoyants in my time and ALL of them have gone for naught. What’s soon anyway? If you look up the word “soon” or “short” you don’t get anything concrete or specific from it. It all appears to be in the eyes of the beholder.
Possibly I will get that job interview I applied for 10 weeks ago! Hmmm…
