Unfortunately, this post is Southern California based but it will demonstrate how resourceful and innovative we need to be in our never-ending job-search. No matter where you live, these are tips and tools for you to use that are universally applied; you don’t really need to live in the LA Area. If you examine the concepts I point out, you can search for them and exponentially increase your leads in the same fashion.
This week I went to Solo Entrepreneurs – check it out! At this aptly-named networking group, I met Mark Fergesen. Mark has an immense background and currently is a Corporate Technological Solutions Consultant specializing in creating and nurturing technological solutions for high profile, deadline driven environments. Looking at his website he’s much more, so please don’t think you’ve gone to the wrong site as these are just some of his credentials. Marks’ Company is always evolving into new frontiers to explore and has not yet updated the site with an enormous adjunct business for everyone. Actually, you don’t really need to be unemployed or in LA for this to work, but all folks out of work must look into what Mark has to offer.
Are you broke or near your last dollar? Overdrawn and looking to recoup some greenbacks? Thinking about going to that corner pawn shop at 3am, incognito, to sell-off Aunt Betty’s stash? Think no more; do it in style, with no embarrassment and honorably.
Turning Your Valued Clutter into Unemployment Cash!
Now don’t do anything rash, in haste or hurriedly here. We’re all desperate for dollars in this din and disdain in which we so despicably dwell. Here’s Marks’ proposal: Look at all your disposable valuables lying around the house or apartment and decide what you’re willing to part with without hesitation or eternal attachment. Hate doing garage sales, admitting your flat on your back or don’t have the time or abilities to rid yourself of hidden treasures?
Let Mr. Fergesen do all the leg work for you! He’ll come to your house (within geographic reason), discuss the value of your clutter, haul it away and sell it for you! Of course there is a fee for this and some seller obligations, but Mark is more than willing to explain it all to you in detail. Think about it’s potential though; you never need to leave the house, research how to do this or tell the neighbors! It’s all done discreetly and professionally and allows you to continue with more pressing matters, like finding a job! The merchandise you contract over does need to be in good working, wearable or wanted condition. Please don’t offer a deck of cards sans the Queen of Spades; think in terms of if you saw this for sale would you want to own it. For the moment, the business is only dealing with items that are easily and readily shippable…grandpa’s old rocker, Sister Suzie’s swing set or the TV set you’re getting rid of for an upgrade probably won’t work right now but run everything by Mark for sure.
I never thought of selling stuff to pocket some cash to help out; every little bit does count! Ingenious idea, I think. This is what I’ve been preaching for so long. Every place you go, every group you attend will give you more and more ideas to assist with your hurt and search. You might go somewhere anticipating one thing and get offered another…sweet, be open-minded to all that comes your way. Never leave a stone unturned; plus, you never know…you might find something under that stone that you might not need that someone else will! Give it to Mark Fergesen and he’ll sell it and send you a check!
