Well, hello there and thanks for surfing my wave!
While it is generally good practice to empower children on how to become responsible adults, when that authority becomes an inappropriate amount, it is those adults that allowed it that instantly become the children. When we give misguided license to individuals, however young or old, to do the work of those more prepared and knowledgeable, all attempts at teaching our future taskmasters will backfire. When you play the game of life with those whom have not lived life, how can you prudently expect the outcome to be nurturing and successful? As we instruct our future leaders how to function and behave in today’s society, we cannot and should not give them the reins too soon as that will cause the horse on which they’re riding to gallop into oblivion, uncontrollably.
The challenges we face in our world of unemployment are vast and daunting, to say the least. We must consistently hold on to our goals’ vision crisp and clear. Like adults modeling for children through our words and actions all this grand, but complicated and confusing life has to offer, we must not tolerate employment above or below our own capabilities. Take a stand in your job search and, as we have been told so many times before, don’t act out of frustration or desperation or misconstrue your qualifications just to get in some door.
We must at all times act as adults taking our lumps as they come, never being childish in our decision-making. Continually be attuned to the fact that, as adults, we do have the control and must never acquiesce otherwise. Know that we can make encouraging and high-quality judgments based on the events handed us and set by example for all our children to observe that the outcomes we want are strictly supported by healthy and realistic responses those children see us talking about.
As we seed our lives with prospects of employment, if we see that things aren’t germinating, move on with the process and let those unfulfilling applications rest. If the track you are following leads to nowhere, start planting elsewhere. Simply put, the hole only has to be so big for the kernel to grow; if the opening gets too big, stop digging before it becomes a ditch into which you will fall.
