Unemployment Rage

by TUM on July 8, 2009

Well, hello there and thanks for surfing my wave!

Dear Sarah Palin:

Hi.  I’m unemployed, and not by choice.  I have a wife, two young children, a dog, a mortgage, lines of credit that are now being called, aging parents, and various insurance premiums that keep going up, two aging cars to pay for…the usual routine for middle agers.  I’ve been unemployed pushing 6 months now.  I desperately need a job; I’m running out of money.  My kids are in a quandary wondering what’s up with daddy and the rest of my family is in a critical state of panic.

Hey, I hear you’ll be out of work soon, too.  Ain’t that a coincidence!  I also hear you quit, just like that; woke up one morning and said you’re done.  Over and out – sayonara.  Hey Sarah, word on the street is you’re not a quitter; well guess what?  Am I stupid?  What is it about you saying you’re not a quitter and then flat-out quitting that makes any sense to your Country, or the world for that matter?  Are we back to the habits of The Dumbing Down of America?

You disgrace me, you disgust me and you are a Capital Hypocrite.  You are a selfish, loathsome, uh–I’m itching for a word that begins with “B”.  What happened?  Life got too rough for you?  Couldn’t take the pressures of the job?  Figured you’ve done your job so leave the rest to the next guy?  Most people would tough it out; life has its struggles and discomforts but we don’t quit.  We keep at it by fixing our problems and showing we are resilient and can successfully and triumphantly move on with our jobs and our lives while maintaining our morals and ethics with dignity and our heads held high.

Do you have some ulterior motive for some future higher Office and thought you’d just dump on your constituents because you have bigger plans for them?  Or bigger plans for you at the expense of them.  What would have happened if you were Vice-President of this Land; would you have quit anyway ‘cause you had a gas bubble or one of your children had a runny nose?  I fully understand and have compassion for the situations facing you and your family, but how many countless others deal with the same, and more, but still march on fighting to every beat of whatever drums life delivers.

You, Sarah Palin, are the worst role model for yourself and your gender, your family and The United States of America.

I have no job – you quit yours.  Look at the economy over the last 2 years.  Do you think that was a smart, noble or solid career move?  Do you even think that was a brilliant choice in any economy?

You never had my vote; now you don’t even have my respect.
