Well, hello there and thanks for surfing my wave!
So, I had to regroup and refocus again. One of the ideas I had while employed was blogging. I did extensive searches and explored into how these things are done and how on earth does it make money? Scary on one hand, but doable on the other. My writing skills were plausible, but my technology (yuck) prowess was, well, you know. One of the sites I hit was how to start a blog; how to actually create one and maintain it. That looked lighting quick, straightforward and insanely cheap. S’cuse me while I scratch a niche. While I spent hours and days thinking about all this and how to go about doing it, I had many of the pieces but no topic, no platform, no voice.
Well, comrade – I do now!
Sizable Opportunity – I found my calling. Fate had taken my hand and impressed upon me that all was not in haste; all things good and bad do happen for a reason. The darker the room, the brighter when the light creeps in.
Within several weeks, this blog was up and literally running full steam ahead, and then…derailment. The techno part of this was rather arduous at best. But, fear not my mate; I seemed to be getting traction with this despite my naïveté. As I have mentioned, the same people who were unable (or unwilling) to help me with long-established corporate leads were now beckoning to help me ascertain what it was I was doing with this, uh, thing you’re reading. Folks were interested. WOW! Reality, what a concept! I have discovered so many things. The most important being technology is here to stay – learn it, embrace it and use it. I urge each of you to jump in your mode of transportation and go find your path that will point you in the direction of your future. It will be front, center and now quicker and than the price of oil slipping out of your pocket and into your gas tank.
But wait, there’s more!
Meanwhile, back at the forever bank-owned ranch, one of the scads of paper I had was given to me by my wife, given to her by her sister. A networking, job-support group. Another one. Hmmm. It was close – okay. Nice group; a few from Entertainment. They ran the gamut from sector to salary. I liked this. Healthy and diverse atmosphere, good stimuli and it got me out of the house. So, I kept going every week while blogging, looking for other work and revenue potential. Never stopped or changed my way of thinking or modus operandi.
Until Now.
The Moderator of this fine-feathered group is a full-fledged business coach. Yea, so? She kept saying stuff about the internet and getting you started. Web Business Tools and such and she generously offers to meet with us (for the price of coffee) outside of this group to help in anyway she can; thirty minutes at a time. Okay, I got that part. At the same time, I was getting emails and stopped on my way to and from things, all from friends, to find how they could use their wares to help me along. This networking stuff is weird, dude. It’s unbelievably working, but we must seek out a passion deep within us first that will drive these same emotions I have out for all to see. If the world sees your passion for something, they will share it and, miraculously, they will come in droves to see your excitement, enthusiastically. It will just appear, but you must be the primary catalyst. Man or woman, it’s a birthing. I met with several friends and have scheduled time to increase my prospects with this venture. I also met Deborah, the moderator of this group. Where was she 2 months ago? Oh yea, in front of me every week. In the next several weeks, you will see a most dramatic change to what you are reading. It is huge. Potential for growth and development beyond expectation. I am now to the point of shifting concentration; more on this then terrestrial job-searching. I’m using the resources of a select few that were staring me in the face all along.
But first we must stare at ourselves long enough to realize that.
“The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew.”

Hey Buddy, thanks for the testimonial. You don’t mind if I “out” myself as your coach? Because I want people to know who I am! Glad to be part of your team! Deborah
Dear Deborah:
It is my pleasure; you and your entire team have given me tremendous support and encouragement. You have an uncanny ability to push people not just in any direction, but in the right direction for each individual. For this you are to be rewarded and thanked. Anything I can do for you using this platform, please let me know.
Warmest Wishes-

Dear UnemployMENTOR
This is a FABULOUS thing you have started. It really helps to know that there are others out there like me (similar education/experience and age).
THANK YOU!
Terrie
Dear Terrie:
You’re very welcome! Thank you so much for reading, commenting and supporting this effort. I know there are others like us; our job, along with finding a real one, is to find those folks and share my vision. It’s a lot to take in and think about, but so is being unemployed. We might as well look at other options while we have, uh - the time. Please keep reading and watch things unfold!
Warmest Wishes-
