TheUnemployMENTOR - Unplugged!

by TUM on July 2, 2009

Well, hello there and thanks for surfing my wave!

Okay, I’ve completed all that backend work or the mechanics behind this website (think car engine) and am finally ready to move forward in a big way.  There are still some technical issues that need some attention, but that should only be a minor role from here on out.  When you first enter the website, I’d like for you check out any new navigation bars and additional links that you haven’t seen before.  They’ll be popping up more and more in the coming weeks, and thanks for your patience if you’ve signed up for my Email List; very shortly you will be receiving the First Edition loaded with behind-the-scenes stuff of what’s been going on with me.

As you navigate through this site, all the cartoon work that you see has been generously designed exclusively for my website used by permission from the Artist, Steve Greenberg.  I invite you all to visit Steve’s Website for a visual treat you won’t find anywhere else.  I might also add I met Steve at a networking group.  Folks, if this entire project of mine isn’t the truest of testimonials of how networking works, nothing is.  I’m telling you, go out and meet people; go to as many workshops, seminars and mixers you can find.  You’re missing the boat if you aren’t venturing out into the world.  People are out there waiting to meet you, really!  Go!

I am immensely excited about all the things going on within these pages and what the future holds for them.  As I build out the rooms which you’ve read about here, you will be taking part in something remarkable – a transformation beyond compare.  What I envision and what you will witness, first-hand, is living proof that the system works; as we sit painfully unemployed with job leads dwindling by the minute and stress mounting by the second, by thinking about your life – what you’ve done and what you want to do in your years remaining – by isolating that one ingredient, that single passion that’s been brewing and fermenting in your gut like the active yeast in raw dough rising higher and higher just waiting for that exact moment to be finally cooked to perfection…take some time now to breathe in, full and deep, and imagine how fragrant and aromatic that air will be when your bread is pulled from the oven.  Find that for yourself and act on it now.  Go forth with glory and gusto in your heart and hope and future prosperity on your mind; find what it is you want to build and run to all ends of your Earth to gather enough tools in which to construct your dream job and do it.  Now!

“Dost thou love life? Then waste not time; for time is the stuff that life is made of.”
~ Benjamin Franklin
