Well, hello there and thanks for surfing my wave!
So – you’re in your office, when you had one, and in the midst of all the crap you were meticulously doing without just credit from your egomaniacal boss, you just stop cold with this thought: “I wish I could do (add all those things here) but I just don’t have the time.”
Well, Folks – Guess What!? Now you have that time! And then some.
Now don’t get me wrong; our objective here is job-search – and lots of it. Let’s just not lose sight of ourselves. Eat however many square meals a day you eat and keep up those fluids, just remember to give yourself time to breathe and enjoy life a little bit more than you were while employed.
You don’t have to wait until the weekend to wash your car (save money!) or do the banking (unemployment checks!). Take your children to school and pick them up. Take brisk morning walks with the dog and/or significant other. If you don’t have one of those and never had the time to look, now’s the perfect opportunity! Not to worry, the chances of you finding a mate in a similar situation is rather good right now, so don’t feel inadequate, unmotivated or inferior. You’ll cheer up and maybe feel better about yourself by going out and changing the routine a little.
Think about all those things that popped into your mind while commuting to hell and back. All those insane meetings you sat in on that were never necessary…go to the gym more – meet some new faces and network! Do something for YOU for a change instead of trolling job boards for that extra hour. Trust me; it’ll still be waiting for you when you return. No boss breathing over your shoulder beating you senseless as to your past deadline…and BTW, make sure to pee! Bye for now – gotta go!
Let us know what you’re doing with your time. Please comment! Click above link – if it says “No Comment”, be the first! Thanks!
